About Us · Building Cabinetry Since 2001

The craftsman has been doing this himself since 2001.

Micah Beatty has been doing this work himself since 2001. That's not a tagline — that's the whole difference. When you hire Division Seven Millwork, the person who quotes your project is the person building it.

Who We Are

A hands-on craftsman, not a sales operation

Division Seven Millwork is built around one simple idea: the craftsman shows up, does the work, and does it right. Micah Beatty founded the business and has personally done this work since 2001 — measuring the openings, building and modifying the cabinetry, and installing it in your home. Your project is never handed off to a sales crew and a rotating set of subcontractors you've never met.

Over the last 25 years, that approach has carried Micah through hundreds of completed projects across the Hudson Valley — kitchens taken down to the studs, custom built-ins, vanities sized to tricky bathrooms, and cabinetry fit into the non-standard openings you find in older homes. The work has even been featured in New York House magazine. But the part clients talk about most isn't the press; it's that someone who actually cares is the one standing in their kitchen.

Michelle Beatty & a real partnership

Micah doesn't run the business alone. Michelle Beatty brings the coordination, communication, and customer care that keep a project moving and a homeowner in the loop. Clients notice the difference. As construction consultant Nick Saccomanno puts it: "They care about the customer and the finished product. Micah and Michelle work very well together — they both bring different strengths to the business." That collaboration is a big reason projects finish clean and homeowners feel taken care of from the first call to the final detail.

How We Think About Value

A custom look at a realistic price

A lot of homeowners assume "custom" automatically means "out of reach." We don't work that way. We build true custom cabinetry when that's what the project calls for — but we also modify quality stock and semi-custom lines to fit your space and look fully custom, so you get the result without the full-custom price when it makes sense.

That matters in this part of the Hudson Valley, where older housing stock means non-standard openings that off-the-shelf cabinets rarely fit. Stock modified to fit is how we deliver a clean, built-in look on a realistic budget — and it's why we'd rather talk through your actual space and goals than quote you a number sight unseen. See how that works on our process page, or browse the full range on our services.
