Common Questions

What homeowners ask us most

Do you offer financing?
No, we do not offer financing at this time. We keep our pricing straightforward and provide a clear written proposal so you know the full cost up front.
How much does a kitchen or cabinetry project cost?
It varies. The same kitchen can cost very different amounts depending on whether you choose value, semi-custom, or true custom cabinetry, the door style and finish, and how much your space needs to be modified. That's exactly why we offer a free estimate — we measure, talk through your options, and give you a real written price instead of a guess.
What's the difference between custom, semi-custom, and value cabinetry?
Value (stock) cabinetry comes in set sizes and styles and is the most budget-friendly. Semi-custom offers more sizes, finishes, and modifications. True custom is built to your exact specifications with the widest range of options. Our specialty is modifying quality value and semi-custom lines to fit non-standard openings so they look fully custom — getting you the look for less when that makes sense. See kitchen cabinetry.
Do you reface or repaint existing cabinets?
No. We install new doors and new cabinetry only — we don't reface or repaint existing cabinets, and we don't reuse existing doors. Refacing and repainting tend to disappoint over time because they sit on top of worn or failing boxes; new doors and cabinetry give you a result that lasts and that we can stand behind.
How long does a project take, and what are the lead times?
Cabinetry is ordered and built rather than pulled off a shelf, so lead times vary by line and time of year. We give you a realistic window up front and let you know if anything shifts, rather than promising a date we can't keep. See our process for the full walkthrough.
Do you do emergency or weekend work?
No. We work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and we don't offer emergency service. Calls outside business hours receive a text back the next business day.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess County in New York, plus Danbury, Connecticut. We're based in Buchanan, NY and regularly work in Peekskill, Cortlandt Manor, Yorktown, Mahopac, Carmel, Putnam Valley, and Fishkill. See all service areas.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold a Putnam County Home Improvement License (#51556) and a Westchester County License (#WC-38068-H24), and we carry full liability, workers' compensation, and disability insurance. We're also OSHA-certified and a NYS-Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Estimates are always free and no-pressure. We talk through your project, and for most jobs we come measure on-site before giving you a written price.
What warranty do you provide?
Coverage depends on the cabinetry line: Forevermark and painted cabinets carry a 2-year warranty, stained cabinets a 5-year warranty, and true custom cabinetry a 1-year warranty. We confirm the exact terms for your project in writing. See our Warranties page for full details.
Can you modify stock cabinets to fit my space?
Yes — this is one of the things we do best. Many older Hudson Valley homes have non-standard openings, settled walls, and tight corners that off-the-shelf sizes don't account for. We modify quality stock and semi-custom lines to fit your space precisely so they look fully custom, without the full-custom price.
